Our Spring Flyin was hosted by
Ron Schmidt at his farm strip in the Nipawin Area. We had
about 15 aircraft in atttendance on each of the two days.
For our first effort we were very pleased. 190 Squadron,
Royal Canadian Air Cadets, assisted with the softdrinks,
coffee and smokies to keep everybody fed and watered.Special
thanks to COPA, RAAC, UPAC, Zenair, ASAP, CLASS, Murphy
Aircraft, National Ultralight, and Full Lotus, who
gratiously supplied prizes for the event.
Spring Ground School
Ground School was held in the
spring with 9 in attendance. The school was hosted by club
instructor Jason Froese. Chief instructor for the course was
Vern Rees of Prairie North Flying and Cavok
Flight Training.
Vern has many hours in the air and we certainly appreciate
his great assistance for our training. By the
way....everybody passed!
Fall Flyin
The fall flyin was hosted by
Fred from Melfort. Two of the ultralights present were
Rick's high cabin Bushmaster II and Martin's low cabin
Bushmaster II, Fred had a super turnout with ultralights
from all over the North East attending. Fred laid out a
wonderful spread for us causing some difficulty on takeoff,
but we all made it safely home. Thanks again Fred for a
great time.
